Two more people have been arrested in connection with a theft at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, according to law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in Lambeth for suspected theft and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.

The arrests follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the attack, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a parking garage elevator.

A toddler aged three was one of the those hurt in the event. Five people went to hospital for medical care and have since been released.

Police detained a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault close to the location. He was subsequently released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Police were called at about 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding several people injured by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.

The attack - which authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as terrorism - caused delays to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking facility briefly.
