Epstein bought a more modest island - Little St James - back in 1998, but subsequently obtained the more expansive adjacent island in 2016 for approximately $22.5 million.
This visual evidence suggest he had formulated development schemes to build upon the 161-acre island by erecting residences, an open-air theater, an underwater office and a reservoir.
