'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane reduces on Premier League comeback

Kane marks his 100th goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has revealed that his interest in coming back to the Premier League has diminished and he is open to explore a new deal with Bayern Munich.

The star striker is presently midway through the four-year agreement he inked when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the transfer window of 2023.

The 32-year-old forward has netted an impressive 103 goals in 106 games for the German side, playing a key role in them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which was the maiden significant honor of his notable career.

Tottenham boss Thomas Frank has earlier mentioned that he would be pleased to see Kane return to England, where he requires 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring record of 260.

However, the England captain has now suggested that he is no longer as keen about returning home as he once was, and would definitely consider prolonging his tenure in Bavaria.

"In terms of remaining longer, I could certainly see that," he stated.

"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be prepared to talk and have an frank conversation.

"Obviously it depends on how the next year or so unfolds and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not thinking about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had asked me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have learned in my career is that different options and different periods happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."

Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the record top scorer for both Tottenham and England and recently became the quickest player this century to reach 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five leagues, attaining the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a trophy had eluded him until he won the German title last season.

Kane admits that he was not sure how he would feel after overcoming his trophy drought, but now feels it has made him eager for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.

"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've demonstrated that this year.

"I was interested in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to achieve in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I pushed myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."

Future Prospects

  • Ongoing success with Bayern Munich remains Kane's primary focus
  • The option of a Premier League return has significantly decreased
