Chopper Twirls Uncontrollably into Palm Fronds at Well-Known California Beach
A chopper hovering over a popular coastal beach abruptly began spiraling uncontrollably, ultimately descending rapidly and smashing into a line of palm groves as beachgoers looked on.
Footage posted online show the helicopter commencing to spiral near the beach then plunging near the edge of the coast, where it gets stuck between palms and a staircase adjacent to the shoreline route.
First Aid Update
The Huntington Beach fire department reported five individuals were taken to hospital involving two individuals who were in the chopper and were “extracted safely from the crash site” after the accident on that day.
Three persons on the road were hurt. Details on their wounds were not yet released.
What led to the incident was not yet disclosed.
Planned Function
The department mentioned the helicopter was linked to an annual “Cars and Copters” fundraising event scheduled for the next day.
